branding

001

A logo is just one part of your brand identity, which includes all the visual elements—like typography, color palettes, and patterns—that create consistency and recognition. Beyond that, overarching "branding" is even more broad, and can include things like your tone of voice, your brand messaging, your client experience, and so much more! Each of these elements is an important part of your overall brand.

A standalone logo doesn’t serve your brand's long-term success or ensure cohesion, so I don’t design logos in isolation.

CAN YOU DESIGN ME JUST A LOGO?

Brand and web design projects are typically booked about two months out, depending on the demands of the season. We recommend reaching out sooner rather than later, even if your project's timeline is several months out, to remove the stress of time restraints. Rush projects are accommodated for a fee on a case by case basis.

Note that your place in our schedule is considered secure only after your client agreement is signed and the deposit is paid.

All of our brand identity packages include the presentation of a minimum of two concepts, born out of your design questionnaire and brand strategy. They will each have a different feel, look, layout, and include visual mockups.

We present what we feel are the strongest concepts, based on the ethos of your business and the needs and desires of your target market. We are always happy to give our input as to what we believe is the best route! However, we love to give you options - it gives you confidence in the final direction, and helps us flush out a few different design styles that we think would be fitting for your business.

You have unlimited revisions within the time period allotted in our client agreement, typically two weeks after receiving concepts. However, if revisions are outside of the initially agreed upon scope of the project, they may be subject to an hourly charge.

Typically, by the time we've begun design, we've got a good grasp on who you are and what moves your target market, and our clients only require minimal revisions.

I typically recommend Showit for service providers and Shopify for e-commerce. Showit is a drag-and-drop builder with powerful SEO capabilities, self-hosting, and design freedom, making it intuitive for clients to manage post-project.

I occasionally work in Squarespace or Wix Studio based on client needs or familiarity.

These platforms generally cost $25–$35/month, depending on subscription tier.

All web packages includes on-page SEO (Search Engine Optimization), built to enhance your Google visibility through strategic web development, including keywords tailored to your industry, services, or location.

SEO takes time to show results, but we set your site up for success with properly tagged and sized images, keyword-rich copy, text tags, page titles, meta descriptions, and full desktop and mobile optimization.

After launch, we'd be happy to guide you through setting up Google Analytics and Google Search Console, so you can monitor your website data and track search queries over time.

No, the price quoted in your project proposal is comprehensive. There are no ongoing fees from Kathlyn Jarvis Design unless the project scope changes, in which case I will notify you before adding any charges.

Clients are responsible for paying for their own domain and web hosting, which are ongoing costs handled directly through the platform where your website is built.

While I strive to source as many free resources as possible, some assets—such as font licenses or stock or brand photography,—may come with an added cost. I’ll always discuss these costs with you in advance to ensure there are no surprises.
