After many projects and applying many different brands, I’ve become a believer in the fact that a logo alone is not sufficient to your visual branding. Your logo is just one aspect of your brand identity (albeit an important one), but your brand identity encapsulates the essence of your company - through many visual elements, including logos, icons, illustrations, typography system, colour palettes, patterns, and textures, all working together to build brand consistency and recognition. Your logo is the cornerstone of the identity, an identifier of your business and used in much of your communications, but your brand identity is the overall look and feel of your company, meant to give you a versatile visual identity.

Beyond that, overarching "branding" is even more broad, and can include things like your tone of voice, your brand messaging, your client experience, and so much more! Each of these elements is an important part of your overall brand.

So no, I can’t give you just a logo. It doesn’t do your brand justice, and it doesn't equip you to execute your branding consistently and cohesively.

Brand and web design projects are typically booked about two months out, depending on the demands of the season. We recommend reaching out sooner rather than later, even if your project's timeline is several months out, in order to give us ample time to book you in and take on the project without the stress of time restraints.

That said, rush projects are accommodated for a fee on a case by case basis.

Note that your place in our schedule is considered secure only after your client agreement is signed and the deposit is paid.

We are always available to our clients and are happy to keep you up to date on the status of the project, and do our best to be timely and efficient.

All of our brand identity packages include the presentation of a minimum of two concepts, born out of your design questionnaire and brand strategy. They will each have a different feel, look, layout, and include visual mockups.

We present what we feel are the strongest concepts, based on the ethos of your business and the needs and desires of your target market. We are always happy to give our input as to what we believe is the best route! However, we love to give you options - it gives you confidence in the final direction, and helps us flush out a few different design styles that we think would be fitting for your business.

You have unlimited revisions within the time period allotted in our client agreement, typically two weeks after receiving concepts. However, if revisions are outside of the initially agreed upon scope of the project, they may be subject to an hourly charge.

Typically, by the time we've begun design, we've got a good grasp on who you are and what moves your target market, and our clients only require minimal revisions. It's a quick and painless process :)

You’re lacking confidence and clarity in your business.

Your branding no longer feels representative of who you are or the direction you’re headed and you don’t feel proud to show up online or to direct people to your website.

Every time you create content on socials you're lost and you jump between different aesthetics and visuals (I’m looking at you, Canva...). You've got better things to do with your time, and you want an elevated, cohesive look across all of your platforms.

You feel disjointed and unprofessional in your brand’s identity.

We are experts at weaving a stunning visual identity out of your brand story and flushing out the details into meaningful brand strategy, but this is a collaborative process. You're ready to make this investment into your business (and we get it, it's a big deal), and to breathe your personality and invest time into the process.

you love to laugh and you're flexible, but you also answer your emails.

Does this sound like you?

What happens after I get my brand identity?

Building your brand identity is just the beginning! Applying your branding requires "collateral" (basically - all the elements where you design is applied, like business cards, stationery, social templates, websites, packaging, etc).

Alongside your branding we provide a style guide of a full brand guidelines document (depending on your package), to help inform the proper execution of your branding.

However, in many cases, we continue working alongside our clients post-launch at an hourly rate to apply your shiny new branding beautifully and consistently across all platforms. We absolutely love continuing our relationships with past clients and feel personally invested in helping their brand succeed!

Contact us here with any and all inquiries.

What file types will I receive?

When you receive your brand package, you'll receive a well organized and labelled Google Drive folder with all relevant file types and colours.

It's a lot, but we are always available to help you navigate what file types to use when, and provide a "file guide" to walk you through it.

To get technical, the file types included are in CMYK (for print) and RGB (for digital) colour modes, and include PNG, SVG, EPS, AI, and PDF files. You'll also receive all brand colour codes and fonts (or instructions to purchase fonts, depending on the licenses required).

What does the process look like?

What web builders do you use?

My web builder of choice is Showit. Showit is a true drag and drop builder, self-hosted with powerful SEO capabilities and functionality. It allows freedom of design, and is intuitive for clients to self manage after our project is complete. For most service based clients, I'll recommend Showit.

On a case by case basis, I'll work in Squarespace, depending on client needs or client familiarity with the platform.

For ecommerce websites, Shopify is the gold standard.

Each of these platforms ranges from about $25-$35/month, depending on the capabilities needed.

Can you accommodate e-commerce?

Of course! If you need a robust online shop, I typically build e-commerce websites in Shopify. In some cases, if you're selling a small amount of product or resources, I'll recommend integrating commerce into your Showit or Squarespace site.

In any case, I'll walk you through the process from start to finish, including adding products and catalogues, setting up payment, and navigating the back end.

If you're looking for a website with commerce abilities, your project will be quoted differently than a service based website, as the capabilities involve a longer timeframe and larger scope.

Do you help with SEO?

Your web package includes on page SEO, which means that we build your website with your Google visibility in mind, based on a strategic analysis of keywords and phrases based on your industry, service, or location.

SEO can be a long game, meaning that you may not see results right away. However, using properly tagged and sized images, strategic, keyword rich copy, text tags, page titles, meta descriptions, and desktop and mobile optimization, we work to boost your search engine rankings.

Once we've finished your website, we walk you through setting up your website on Google Analytics and Google Search Console, so that you can track your data and monitor your Google queries ongoing.

What about the technical bits like connecting my domain and tracking analytics?

We've got you. Analytics work hand in hand with SEO, and upon finishing your website we'll make sure your website is submitted to Google to be indexed, and that you can track your Google Analytics ongoing to have a good understanding of your web traffic and its source.

We will also be sure to connect your domain, set up security certificates, and take care of the technicalities, like Google Worskpace, Google Search Console, and any CRM integration.

This is the not-so-glamorous, but oh-so-necessary side of web design.

What does the web design process look like?

The web design process typically starts with brand design. It's our preference that you've spent time thinking through your overall brand identity and style before moving forward with a website. On a case by case basis, we will work with your existing branding.

From there, we will have a call to go over the pages and capabilities of your website, and we will send over a web copy workbook, where you can work on putting together your web content and submit any photos. Depending on your level of comfort with writing, we can recommend copywriters to help, or flush out your point form notes ourselves. During this phase of the process we also ask you to share other websites that resonate with you and dive into what you love about them.

Then, we get to work. We will build your homepage first, and send you a draft to confirm that you're happy with the overall direction. From there, we build the remaining web pages, do any necessary revisions, and connect your domain.

We send hand off videos, and remain available for post-launch support for two weeks after your website launches.

Will I be able to self manage it when it's done?

Absolutely! That's what we love about our web builders of choice (Showit and Shopify). They're user friendly, and every web hand off includes screen recordings walking you through how to make basic edits and changes to your website.

We are also available ongoing for web edits on an hourly basis, depending on availability.

What if I need ongoing web support?

We love building relationships with our clients and continuing to work together after a project is over!

Feel free to reach out at any point if you need ongoing web support. In many cases, we are so happy to give you our thoughts, opinions, and advice without charging you (again, we really want you to succeed with your new branding!), but if you need more involved edits, we can happily make them for you at our hourly rate.

Inquire about your project.
